Sunset Petal

This small flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its silver stem is wispy and straight, and the miniature, burgundy leaves are light black on the underside and are very narrow and elongated with rounded edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Several tiny flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 1 cm (0.4 inches) wide, with brilliant orange petals that gradient shift to amber on the outer edge. The central disk is yellow. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 60 petals. They detach easily.

It has a faint scent that smells like cigarette smoke, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to butterflies.
