Caramel Creeper

This average-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 39 feet (11.9 meters) and growing as high as 284 feet (86.6 meters).

It takes 21 months for the copper stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are smooth and rubbery.

The stiff, pointed, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) in length. They are a shade of gray that gradient shifts to caramel at the top, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces a handful of large violet flowers.
