Blueleaf Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Sheds its leaves in winter)

This colossal tree grows up to 112 meters (367.5 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 557 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a wide, angular trunk covered in hard, silky, brown and grey bark, and inside, the flexible wood is copper-coloured.

The branches are very long, thin and wispy and are covered with very large amounts of soft, huge, circular leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are generally deep blue.

In late summer it forms small, crimson, shelled seeds.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
The bark, wood and leaves are edible.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
