Indigo vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small vine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 8 feet (2.4 meters)0.

It takes 9 months for the cream or indigo stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are tough and woody.

The long, narrow, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are found in slate, florescent green and aquamarine varieties, and have toothed edges.

During late spring, the vine produces balls of small turquoise flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces copious amounts of very large berries.

A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
