Grayvine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This large bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 190 feet (57.9 meters) and growing as high as 86 feet (26.2 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.
It takes 9 months for the gray stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 10 inches (25 cm) and are rough and fibrous.
The needle-like, sticky leaves reach up to 2.5 feet (76 cm) in length. They are generally green, and have jagged edges.
During late spring, the bine produces hundreds of giant washed-out red flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of small seed pods.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
