Yellow Bine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short bine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 18 feet (5.5 meters) and growing as high as 101 feet (30.8 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 2 months for the yellow stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are smooth and waxy.

The perforated, fuzzy leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are grey and aquamarine, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the bine produces a thick sheet of large peach flowers.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
