Golden Velmoss

This yellow moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In rainy mountain ranges, In bogs, and In rainforests.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is overwhelmingly delicate.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release millions of spores.
