Indigo Creeper
Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This modest-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 37 feet (11.3 meters) and growing as high as 238 feet (72.5 meters).
It takes 7 months for the orange stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are tough and woody.
The stiff, pointed, smooth leaves reach up to 1.0 foot (30 cm) in length. They are a shade of dark grey that gradient shifts to indigo at the top, and have wavy edges.
During late spring, the creeper produces clusters of average hazel flowers.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
