Silverneedle Berry Tree

Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This huge tree grows up to 136 meters (446.2 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 683 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, wavy trunk covered in rough, brown bark, and inside, the light wood is yellow.

The small handful of branches trail down to the ground, with thousands of twigs covered with large amounts of miniature, silver needles. The needles themselves are strong.

In late summer it produces large, intense purple berries.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
