Silvervine

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 88 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has dozens of thick, straight stems covered in very thick, cracked, silver bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are short stubs that and are covered with copious amounts of giant, stiff, pointed, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are gold and white, tough and soft.

In early summer it produces many clusters of medium-sized, cyan blossoms with many layers of petals. They are hardy and have a strong scent that smells like fermented fruit.

In midwinter large broad, flat fruits ripen. The smooth yellow skin is tough and inedible, and the very soft sky blue flesh is sweet and spicy and oily. The blood red seed is very large and is in the centre of the fruit.
