Magenta Tree

This modest-sized tree grows up to 50 meters (164.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 489 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, wonky trunk covered in thick, cracked, black bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is mahogany-coloured.

The branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with very large amounts of rough, tiny, asymmetrical leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are either olive or magenta, with drab blue zig-zags.

In late summer it forms giant, gentle yellow, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
