Bronze Petal

This short flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its moss green stem is thin, and the small, bronze leaves are needle-like with smooth edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with alternating petals of lime and bronze, with a green central disk. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cup. They are hardy.

It has a faint scent that smells like rotting meat, and it has very little pollen, but can cause allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by a variety of insects.
