Magenta Fruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 19 feet (5.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 16 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, slanted trunk covered in very thick, waxy, dark brown bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is pale yellow.

The branches are very short, thin and wispy and are covered with copious amounts of huge, perforated leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are either black or magenta, with grey patches.

In early spring, it produces many tiny, green blossoms with stiff, pointed petals. They are very delicate and have a mildly strong scent that smells like onion.

In early autumn it produces tiny, long, straight fruit. The leathery intense purple skin is stretchy and inedible, and the very soft bronze flesh is bitter and sticky. The gold seeds are small and are bunched at the bottom of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.

Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
