Magenta Bine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This big bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 132 feet (40.2 meters) and growing as high as 88 feet (26.8 meters).
It takes 4 years for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 8 inches (20 cm) and are rough and prickly.
The finger-like, rough leaves reach up to 2.0 feet (61 cm) in length. They are found in slate, magenta and magenta varieties, and have tattered edges.
During late spring, the bine produces dozens of average purple flowers.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It is often home to a particular bird species.
