Orangevine

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for over 2,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 2107 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, crooked trunk covered in waxy, brown-green bark, and inside, the soft wood is pine-coloured.

The branches are long and thin, with dozens of twigs covered with thick bunches of small, orange needles. The needles themselves are fairly frail.

In late summer it produces tiny, yellow, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is difficult to cut through.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
