Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)This small, gray grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in sparse patches that are flexible.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, brown spikelet.
During the early summer, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.
It is said to be the favourite flower of a legendary person.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
