Purplegrass
Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)This average-sized, brown grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The circular stalks grow in large clumps that are robust and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, purple tuft.
During the mid-summer, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of tiny grains.
It is suitable for making strong rope
