Violetfern

This giant shrub grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for around 45 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many sturdy, wonky stems covered in thin, knobbly, gray bark, and the wood inside is silver.

The branches are short, rigid and upright that and are covered with copious amounts of small, thin, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are light grey on the edges and violet at the center, frail and smooth.

It produces handfuls of giant, turquoise flowers with asymmetrical petals. They detach easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like bleach. In early winter it forms smallorange, spiky-shelled seeds.
