Magenta?

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 32 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in ridged, silver bark, and inside, the soft wood is pine-coloured.

The small bunches of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with small amounts of giant, circular leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are magenta on the sides and brilliant green at the center.

In early spring, it produces thousands of medium-sized, light grey blossoms with 8 pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a soft scent that smells like skunk spray.

In late autumn it produces small, fan-like fruit. The fuzzy red skin is tough and spicy and sour, and the slightly crunchy magenta flesh is salty and powdery. The faded green seed is large and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
