Magentafern
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 317 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has a narrow, wonky trunk covered in delicate, wrinkled, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the soft wood is mahogany-coloured.
The excessive amount of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with copious amounts of waxy, giant, fan-like leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are either subtle blue, or magenta with brilliant green splotches.
In late summer it forms tiny, orange, winged seeds that float and land far away.
The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
It is suitable for making strong rope
