Silvervine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 94 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of stocky, twisting stems covered in delicate, rough, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is silver.

The branches are short and thick with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of miniature, long, narrow, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in beige, cream and light grey varieties, tough and fuzzy.

In mid-summer it produces a handful of medium-sized, peach flowers with perforated petals. They fall easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like cheap aftershave.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
