Emerald Tear Moss

This moss green moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In moorlands, and On rotten logs.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is extremely rigid.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release hundred of spores.
