Silvervine

This average-sized tree grows up to 18 meters (59.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 80 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, crooked trunk covered in delicate, cracked, silver and white bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale yellow.

The thin clumps of branches are very short and thin and are covered with copious amounts of soft, tiny, long, tapering leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either blood red or olive, with pastel green dots.

In early spring, it produces many bunches of small, yellow blossoms with V-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a faint scent that smells like new books.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, silver seed pods.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
