Golden Thornsucculent
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 26 feet (7.9 meters) tall. The wispy stem is brown, and is covered in sharp spines. The irregular-edged, thin leaves are yellow and bold yellow. Large amounts of them grow from the base in a symmetrical pattern. The leaves are resilient, and are very difficult to pull away.
It is slow growing, taking 42 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid gold petals and a violet central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with 41 raised round-tipped petals. It has a strong scent that smells like cigarette smoke.
The leaf succulent's skin is rock-hard, the orange flesh is leathery, and the olive sap is thin.
