Grey Moss

Moss type: Moss

This grey or beige moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In moorlands.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is very light.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.

The sap causes severe rashes
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
