Red Puffgrass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small, red grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The perforated stalks grow in large clumps that are sturdy and flexible.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, violet puff.

During the early summer, it produces an average amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of giant grains.

It has impressive regenerative properties.
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is often referred to as the most beautiful of all flowers.
