Peachspine

This small leaf succulent grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall. The perforated stem is gray-green, and is covered in large amounts of rigid peach spines. The toothed-edged, thin leaves are found in gold, pale purple and silver varieties. Very large amounts of them grow from the base like a cabbage. The leaves are robust, but take little effort to detach.

It is slow growing, taking 7 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with alternating petals of silver and lime, with a silver central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 12 curved petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like grass cuttings.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the copper flesh is soft, and the dark brown sap is thin and causes diarrhea if consumed.
