Silver Moss

This silver moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps On rotten logs.
It is average-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is extremely delicate.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
