Purplevine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 18 feet (5.5 meters) and growing as high as 26 feet (7.9 meters).
It takes 5 months for the green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and gnarled.
The very thin, fuzzy leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are pink and purple, and have tattered edges.
During late spring, the vine produces clusters of small gentle orange flowers.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
