Purplevine

This small vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 18 feet (5.5 meters) and growing as high as 26 feet (7.9 meters).

It takes 5 months for the green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and gnarled.

The very thin, fuzzy leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are pink and purple, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the vine produces clusters of small gentle orange flowers.
