Turquoise Clinger
Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 131 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has many long and flexible, angular stems covered in waxy, brown and grey bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.
The branches are short, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of tiny, thick, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either blue, or hazel with gold splotches, flimsy and waxy.
It produces a thick sheet of large, gentle blue flowers with shield-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a strong scent that smells like bonfire smoke. In midwinter it forms giantturquoise berries.
