Pink Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This huge leaf succulent grows up to 171 feet (52.1 meters) tall. The tapering stem is gray-green, and is covered in hundreds of flexible green spines. The tattered-edged, very thick leaves are generally pink. Thick bunches of them grow from the base in alternating pairs. The leaves are flexible, and take little effort to detach.

It is fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with solid red petals decorated with magenta dots and a azure central disk grow at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 25 curved petals. It has a weak scent that smells like something putrid.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the amber flesh is waxy, and the turquoise sap is thin.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
